Principals

George A. Bozzuti — is the founder and Managing Principal of Greenwood Capital Investments and is responsible for all quality control and marketing at the specialty real estate advisory firm. Since mid-2009, Mr. Bozzuti has been deeply engaged in assisting FDIC receivers in winding down failed financial institutions across the country and began his career in 1982 working for a developer as a national accounts site selection and acquisitions specialist. Mr. Bozzuti joined Chemical Banking Corp in New York where he was hired as an officer in 1993 and worked in tandem with several internal groups involved in more than $1.0 billion of workout and delinquent commercial loan assets. In addition to making risk management recommendations on defaulted loans and REO assets, he underwrote new CMBS loans, restructured portfolio loans, made presentations to credit committee and was selected for credit training. He brought previous experience as a credentialed valuation expert to the bank. After the late 1995 merger with Chase Manhattan Bank, Mr. Bozzuti was awarded a contract to provide outside underwriting services to the merged company. Mr. Bozzuti's tenure with GMAC Commercial Mortgage, where he became a Vice President, began in 1996 when he was hired to underwrite the senior and mezzanine debt and equity components of a major mall portfolio acquisition financing. In addition to sizing, structuring and underwriting responsibilities, Mr. Bozzuti created and managed a portfolio of balance sheet loans on 0% to 40% occupied office and flex buildings, all of which were successfully re-tenanted and permanently refinanced. Mr. Bozzuti eventually became an originator in GMACCM's Wall Street office where he closed construction, bridge and permanent loans on the balance sheet, with outside lenders, and on warehouse lines intended for CMBS or Agency issuance. In 2002, Mr. Bozzuti founded Greenwood Capital Investments to provide market participants with the highest quality financial advisory, risk management, underwriting and loan asset management services available. In all, Mr. Bozzuti has been involved in over $3.0 billion in transactions. Mr. Bozzuti is a graduate of Villanova University and completed courses in credit analysis at New York University. Outside interests include promoting junior sailing and racing.
